This year sees the jubilee celebration of Cannafest Prague, the international cannabis trade fair. The tenth year of the feast of all cannabis fans once again confirms its leading position as the largest event of its kind in the world. The fans of green gold, what cannabis has been recently called thanks to unexpected boom in the US and Canada, from all over the world will meet at the Prague exhibition centre in Letňany in early November. Last year over 30 000 visitors attended the event in three days and this year the organizers do expect about the same turnout if not more.
The growing interest in this versatile herb has resulted in legalization waves or at least very heated discussions on relaxing the conditions for the use of cannabis, mainly in medicine. More and more countries are thus sharing the opinion that the senseless repression lasting long decades brought nothing good, and it is time that cannabis should be fully rehabilitated. The Cannafest trade fair, which has significantly contributed to these positive worldwide changes, will not only continue to reiterate what has been achieved in the area of cannabis popularization and its usage, but mainly make every effort to link as many stakeholders as possible.
The largest in the world
On an exhibition area of more than 18 000 m² in three exhibition halls around 300 exhibitors from more than 25 countries around the world will be presented. As usual, visitors will be able to get acquainted with the news in the area of growing techniques, buy quality seeds from more than 50 leading seed banks, or they could choose from a large number of ever so popular and health-friendly vaporizers and try them at the Cannafest VapoLounge, which is this year supported by Storz & Bickel, the German market leader. In addition, hemp fans will be able to choose from a wide range of products containing non-mind-bending and healthy CBD, as well as high-percent CBD drops, or broaden their horizons in the use of cannabis as a natural resource, which includes food, cosmetics or textiles, but also building materials.
300 exhibitors from more than 25 countries around the world will be presented.
Last but not least, the trade fair will present a variety of institutions testing the quality and composition of hemp or advocating its availability for patients and others. A number of Czech and foreign media dedicated to hemp issues will be available to visitors on separate displays, as well as in the traditional Cannafest reading room.
Professional Conference
Frequent visitors already know very well that Cannafest is not just about the exhibitors. Another important part of the fair is the three-day Professional Conference held in parallel in the modern conference premises of the exhibition centre. The Professional Conference is highly valued, above all thanks to the participation of the world’s leaders in the use of cannabis in medicine. This year again there will be experts from Israel, which has long been on the cutting edge in the cannabis research. Speakers from the USA will also be highly represented, however, visitors will be able to hear the latest findings and developments regarding medical cannabis from Czech experts as well.

Entertainment
In addition to the exhibition and the aforementioned Professional Conference, Cannafest traditionally offers a lot of entertainment. Visitors can for example look forward to the Cannafest Stage, offering a wide variety of entertaining performances, as well as concerts of popular reggae and ska artists. Then there is a workshop zone dedicated to various uses of hemp or a variety of art installations.
