London Canna Group, the leading comprehensive cannabis consultancy in the United Kingdom, announced details of its international expansion with ECE 2020 event series. The news came in the same time as the name change of the event from Europe CBD Expo to Europe Canna Expo.
ECE (Europe Canna Expo) is Europe’s premier event series dedicated to cannabinoids and medical cannabis. The events attract an international audience of senior representatives from industry, government, clinicians, press and consumers who are looking to learn more about the latest developments in this rapidly expanding field.
ECE’s Events Director Paul Raggett explains: “The change in name reflects the wider content of our conference sessions and the wider industry as a whole. As we showed in our inaugural event Europe CBD Expo in London in July 2019, CBD is a small part of the wider medical cannabis industry and there are many other important cannabinoids and components within the cannabis plant that government and the wider public need to be aware of.”
Dublin and Zagreb conferences will have the leading international experts presenting on cannabis business, science, cultivation, and patient care and access.
Three events in 2020
The launch of ECE 2020 series is the cornerstone of the firm’s ambitious plans to expand its footprint and go global.
The Dublin event will be hosted at the Shelbourne Hotel (27 St. Stephens Green, Dublin 2, Ireland) on 3–4th March 2020.
The flagship event ECE London will be held on 26–27th June 2020 at the ExCeL, Royal Victoria Dock, 1 Western Gateway, Royal Docks, London E16 1XL.
The Zagreb event will be hosted at the Sheraton hotel (Ul. Kneza Borne 2, 10000, Zagreb, Croatia) on 15–16th October 2020.
Evolution in ever-changing landscape
Sal Noble, London Canna Group’s CEO reflected on the rebrand and evolution: “In 2019 we realised our vision for a new type of event. Europe CBD Expo was disruptive, both in terms of format, content and attendance. We were quick to identify the rapidly-changing industry landscape. Our vision was to bring together brands and experts with the latest research, products and innovations able to meet needs and transform each part the customer journey. After our successful launch in London, demand from our community is taking us all over the Europe, with first destinations being Dublin, Ireland and Zagreb, Croatia.’’
Chief Operations Officer Housam Nasr continued: “This isn’t just a conference and exhibition. ECE is an authentic global community for those who want to stay at the cutting-edge of research, innovations, technology and solutions for the ever-changing legal cannabis landscape.”
Leading experts and brands
Dublin and Zagreb conferences will have the leading international experts presenting on cannabis business, science, cultivation, and patient care and access, giving an understanding of the current state of play of the CBD and medical cannabis industry globally. The event will highlight the opportunities that are available to Ireland and Croatia when they continue to move towards an open CBD and medical cannabis market, from large scale cultivation all the way through to research.
“CBD is a small part of the wider medical cannabis industry and there are many other important cannabinoids and components within the cannabis plant that government and the wider public need to be aware of.”
The ECE London format will be very similar to the 2019 event, with a dedicated B2B day on Friday 26th June and B2B and B2C on Saturday 27th June, they will however have two dedicated conference areas, plus the main stage, tripling the size of the conference sessions and the number of expert speakers, showing their commitment to providing detailed scientific and business information for their attendees and an educational program that is second to none.
The Expo will also increase in size to over 125 exhibitors and provides a platform to the leading brands and service providers across the CBD and medical cannabis industry to meet with like-minded individuals from across the globe, both B2B and B2C.
The international sponsors and exhibitors will reflect a broad spectrum of the industry from scientific equipment manufacturers through to medical cannabis providers and CBD brands.
The final agenda, along with the speaker line up, will be published on ECE’s newly refreshed website www.europecannaexpo.com.
